Why the Artificial Grass is the perfect Solution for Multi-use Facilities

Filed under: Uncategorized — Tags: — admin @ 6:02 am

Artificial surfaces are the best for sport contests, including:

soccer
American football
baseball
rugby
lacrosse
softball.
You can now forget your lawnmower, just by featuring artificial turf. This kind of surface is as good as natural grass and has been designed to be like real grass, not like a carpet.

The most important ideas and necessities to start building artificial grass, were developing a synthetic system that was that it offered the beneficial biomechanical properties of natural grass, combined with the best features of a durable synthetic system:

low maintenance
all-weather playability
and unlimited playing time.
Some turf companies have been designing artificial materials as an engineered system. They have been carefully and thoroughly developing it, with the usability purpose, not just thrown together for the purpose of a sale. In order to obtain total high level quality control, manufacturers have invested heavily in modernizing its plants with the latest technologies, top manufacturing talent and specialized installation equipment for its experienced install teams.

Artificial grass is so different from traditional synthetic turf. The most striking difference is immediately obvious. Instead of a dense and abrasive rug, fiber’s surface is soft and silky. Players can slide or tackle without fear of abrasions. Artificial grass is much more than just the absence of abrasions.

Unlike traditional turf, it does not rely on an underlying shock pad for safety, resilience and player comfort. Rather, it’s grass fiber are surrounded and stabilized by a special blend of synthetic earth also designed for that aim. A recently released interview shows that most American football players prefer to play on artificial surfaces, instead of on natural grass. The reason is that these surfaces are designed thinking in players, therefore professional football teams are starting to change they fields towards to synthetic turf.

SOME POINT DURING INSTALLATION
1) Clean the backing of grass, non-woven fabric, tapes. Their surface must be dry.
2) The temperature should between 0-40℃. Please avoid rain and wet weather.
3) Gumming:
Use brush. The glue should be sped evenly. Do not repeatedly attach glue on. It will cause foam, or even easily break. Attach glue on both sides that need to be connected. Pay attention to the speed also.
4) Connecting
When the glue is about 80-90% dry (normally in10-15 minutes, but it also depends on weather), make the two pieces of grass connected and adhered. Please try to match the edges one time only. Do not move the grass and tape during this process.
5) Hammering
Clean up the surface. Use rubber sinker to hammer the area that connected. Make the surface fix tightly.
6) Solidification
Normally 3 days. But please test the final intension in ten days if you need. During this period, please try not to expose in very sharp sunlight, immerse in water, and move.
7) Before fill in quartz sand and rubber infill, please take away the fragment that left on grass when make a joint.

For sport grass especially:

FILL THE RUBBER
Use the rubber to make grass fiber fixed. Stop pouring the sand when the grass fiber has 10cm left in air.
The rubber should be well-proportioned. Pour the rubber in one direction at same time, either go along with length or breadth.
Use brush to make the sand fall down to the grass and dense. Put away the sundries whenever find.

How to make a good yarn

Filed under: artificial grass — Tags: — admin @ 9:09 am

Green Vision artificial grass production starts with the yarns.
The yarn is made from polymers, more exactly polypropylene or polyethylene depending on the future application of the grass.
Specific substances are added to fulfill the highest requirements and obtain a long lasting resistance. Polypropylene and polyethylene are inert materials and don’t react easy with other substances.

The first step in the production of artificial grass yarn is heating the granules (polypropylene or polyethylene) until they become fluid. During this process, pigments for colors , UV resistance additives and other products are added.

The fluid mass is then extruded through a mould under high pressure. This mould imitates the structure of a natural blade of grass in 2 different ways: as monofilament tape or as a flat, fibrillated tape.

Monofilament: the fluid mass is extruded through a plate with small holes, to give it a certain strength and elasticity. The shape of the hole is determining the shape or cross section of the yarn.
A mono filament yarn exist always out of more than one filament, for example 6, 8 or even 12 filaments.

Fibrillated tape yarn: the fluid mass is extruded in a very thin film that is cut in small strips and fibrillated so that a honeycomb structure is formed.

Special care needed for artificial grass

Artificial grass is beneficial in reducing water use, is easy to care for and can save on mowing. It does require special care in keeping clean, treating it against weeds and keeping it free of animal waste. This ensures that it will last a long time.

Weeds

Weeds should never appear on your artificial grass lawn because the membrane applied beneath the synthetic surface will prevent undesirable plant life from growing. spraying the lawn with a mix of clove oil with vinegar before and during the rainy time of year and before spring is recommended.

Dirty

When the artificial grass becomes dirty, some clients hose the turf down but you can simply leave the rain to clean it naturally.

Organic debris, such as bird and animal waste and pollen, can cause problems with artificial grass. Clean the grass using a rake or blower to remove this kind of debris. Avoid putting feeders for birds and squirrels near the grass.

High traffic

The artificial grass may appear disfigured if the pile becomes flat. In this case you can brush it upright or infill with kiln-dried sand to solve the problem. Disfigurement tends to be of concern for high traffic areas and long pile height astro turf can be used to prevent any such occurrences.
